Copywriter & Business Consultant

Ten years reading a room: live, on paper, and inside a P&L.

I write words that convert, and I help founders fix what's actually broken in their business.

About / My Story

M. Boccard, copywriter, portrait photo

I didn't start in marketing. I started in theatres, concert halls, and convention centers, running the technical side of live shows, managing teams of up to 100 people, and making sure that when 11,500 visitors walked through the door, everything just worked.

What nobody tells you about live events is that they're 90% storytelling. Every show, every convention, every product launch has an audience you need to read in real time, a message you need to land in seconds, and zero room for a flat line. I spent a decade doing exactly that under pressure. And somewhere along the way I realized the skill transfers directly to a blank page.

These days I write it down instead of shouting it into a headset. Same instinct: know the audience, find the one line that lands, cut everything else.

Alongside live events, I've spent years running my own companies. I built Boccard Solutions, an e-commerce business selling luxury footwear and accessories, and used it as a base for consulting: helping companies across industries find the actual fix hiding inside whatever problem they thought they had. Today I lead BMC Holding SA, a multi-activity holding spanning health tech, luxury concierge, live events, and cybersecurity, as CEO. Previously, I oversaw operations at GLOVONT SA.

All of it comes back to the same instinct: understand a business well enough to know what to say about it, or what to fix in it.

Based in Geneva, Switzerland. Working remotely with teams anywhere.

Writing

  • Social media copy
  • Email marketing
  • SEO content
  • Ghostwriting
  • UX / microcopy
  • Long-form creative writing

Visual & campaign direction

  • Concept and copy for social media ad creative, pairing message with visual direction (layout, tone, call-to-action) for Instagram, Facebook, and display ads

Foundations from a decade in live events

  • Reading an audience and adapting a message in real time

Foundations from a decade in live events

  • Project management under tight deadlines
  • Coordinating with creative teams (designers, technicians, marketing)
  • Budget discipline and results focus
  • Full autonomy running a project end-to-end remotely

Languages

  • French (native). English writing via professional translation tools (DeepL and others). Every piece is reviewed, refined, and polished before delivery. It's simply part of my process, the same way a designer uses software instead of a pencil. The writing stays sharp; the tool is just different.

Consulting & Business Advisory

I currently serve as CEO of BMC Holding SA, a diversified group spanning health tech, luxury concierge, live events, cybersecurity, and water retail. Previously, I served as Head of Operations at GLOVONT SA. Before that, I founded and ran Boccard Solutions, building an e-commerce business from scratch and advising companies on operational optimization across industries.

If you're a founder or leadership team looking for an outside operator's eye, on operations, growth bottlenecks, or a messaging problem that's really a strategy problem in disguise, that's the work I do best.

How I approach it

  • Start with what's actually breaking, not what the org chart says should be working.
  • Talk to the people closest to the problem before proposing anything.
  • Prioritize the one or two fixes that unlock the rest, instead of a 40 point audit nobody will action.

How I Work

  1. 01

    Written brief

A short form or email exchange, no call needed. Just enough to understand your audience and goal.

  2. 02

    First draft

    Within the agreed deadline, always.

  3. 03

    One revision round

    Included, based on your notes.

  4. 04

    Final delivery

Ready to publish, formatted for your platform.

All work is delivered in writing, at every step. Briefs, drafts, and revisions all happen over email or messaging, so nothing gets lost in translation (literally).

06

Let's write something that works.

Tell me about your audience, your goal, and the deadline. I'll come back within 24 hours.
